Trader Joe Deliciousness Vol 1

An evening with a bag of Chile Spiced Mango:

A young man wanders about his room, thinking about the empty state his stomach is in. As he eyes his bookshelves, he remembers that books, while delicious for the brain, don’t work so well for the belly. The contents of the small fridge nearby don’t help much, either. Mayonnaise and soy sauce go with things, and the attempt at rice pudding isn’t cool enough to enjoy. Walking over to a shelf of dry goods, he decides against eating tea bags and coffee filters. When failure seems the only option left, an unopened bag of chile spiced mango beacons Grail-like. He doesn’t avert his eyes.

The first one is like a good first date, sweet, delicious and hinting at heat. The second continues the simile, building more spiciness and in general leaving him panting for more. Sadly, ignoring the peril growing from the back of his tongue, he grabs a small hand-full of the dried mango pieces. Then an urgent need develops for water, milk, soy millk, soy sauce, anything to calm the cayenne induced flames. Thought ceases.

All this for $1.99. Awesome.
