First the exciting news: Rock Band gets a Wii release date
Now, the disappointing news: No DLC (downloadable content) yet scheduled
The reason I’ve yet to buy Rock Band is that I only have a PS2, and DLC isn’t supported on that system, meaning that when Nevermind gets released on Rock Band, I wouldn’t be able to shell out some cash and pretend to be Cobain. I figured that since the Wii is all hungry for some WiFi nourishment, DLC would be supported right away. This potentially changes things. I might have become more willing to drop ~$160 on the ps2 version, assuming that’ll be good enough for me until I have oodles of extra cash or ps3’s have come down in price enough that I don’t feel guilty buying one and picking up Rock Band at the same time.
