That the world works this way, that probable honest attempts to include the opinions of other people are looked at as signs of weakness, or as the basis for ideologues to further force their ideology makes me a little bit crazy. It’s part of the “see what I can get away with” form of rules interpretation that’s fun when you’re playing a game and not at all fun when it can’t be given up.
